DEVELOPMENT CONCERNS
The most optimistic and altruistic view of the people in the new millennieum is that the present processes of globalization and development of third world nations will not only lead to equitable, homogeneous and harmonious growth of world communities but also ensure measures for protection of our future. Notwithstanding, in pursuing these paramount processes, we are equally confronted with challenges in safety, security and quality of human life and settlements, and very importantly disorderliness in physical environment and its long-term sustainability.
Eventually, both the stakeholders and beneficiaries in the entire policy, planning, development and administration value chain of human settlements have a myriad of problems to address.
Ever increasing human settlement problems include and not limited to chaotic physical growth of settlements; uncontrolled urbanization; energy demands; housing for all; lighting; drinking water; imbalanced educational and economic opportunities; woman and child welfare; poverty; epidemics, prolonged diseases; poor access to healthcare services; inadequate and poor access to basic services including water, sanitation and electricity; solid/organic and non-biodegradable waste, construction debris, landfills; growing traffic congestions and inadequate transportation infrastructure and systems; ground water contamination; industrial effluents; harmful bacteria and insect infestation; air/water pollution; depleting non-renewable energy; dwindling watersheds, forests, and natural resources; food deficits; changing cultivation practices and top soil erosion; natural disasters; global climate change; and an endangered ecosystem.
Seemingly, the list of problems is endless and it is needless to say that the cause and effect, given the context, have direct impact on human quality of life, life expectancy, sustainable human development and continued prosperity.
STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL ROLES

OUR VISION
Continuum envisions to facilitate a single window platform to bring, in general, a broad spectrum of stakeholders both individuals and organizations alike involved in urban, regional and environmental - policy, financing, planning, development and administration - and, in particular, business continuity planning and emergency lifecycle management to support for common cause at grassroots level covering various geographic regions.
